Аннотация: Cтатья предлагает читателю первый перевод c латинского на русский язык трактата «О тенях идей» Джордано Бруно, являющегося своеобразным предисловием к другому его трактату – «Об искусстве памяти». Всего Д. Бруно было написано четыре трактата об искусстве памяти (все на латинском языке). Это ранние трактаты Бруно «О тенях идей» («De umbris idearum»), «Искусство памяти» («Ars Memoriae»), Песнь Цирцеи («Cantus Circaeus») и «Искусство припоминания – 30 печатей» («Ars Reminiscendi – Triginta Sigilli»). Первые три работы были написаны в 1582 году, последняя – в 1583 г. Все эти работы относятся к так называемым "герметическим" сочинениям (от имени бога Гермеса Трисмегиста ("трижды великого"), считающегося основателем традиции данных текстов). В трактате поднимаются такие фундаментальные проблемы, как проблема припоминания, проблема памяти как таковой, проблема субъекта памяти и припоминания, проблемы создания эффективной мнемонической техники, и т.п

De Umbris Idearum: On the Shadows of Ideas

Abstract: The article provides the reader with the first translation from the Latin into Russian of the treatise “De Umbris Idearum” ("On the Shadows of Ideas") of Giordano Bruno (1548 - 1600) – the famous philosopher of the Renaissance – as a kind of preface to another of his treatise – «Ars Memoriae» ("On the Art of Memory"). In total D. Bruno has written four treatises on the art of memory (all in Latin). These are early treatises of Bruno "On the Shadows of Ideas» («De umbris idearum»), «The Art of Memory» («Ars Memoriae»), «The Song of Circe» («Cantus Circaeus») and "The Art of the Recall – 30 stamps» («Ars Reminiscendi – Triginta Sigilli »). The first three works were written in 1582, the last – in 1583. All these works belong to the so-called "Hermetic" writings (on behalf of the god Hermes Trismegistus ("Thrice Great"), who is considered the founder of the tradition of these texts). The tretise raises problems including the recall problem, the memory problem as such, the problem of the subject of memory and recall, the problem of creating an effective mnemonic technique, etc.
